About

Emilio Marín is an architect graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Chile, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Visual Arts. He founded his practice in 2005.

His work is characterized by its heterogeneous and multidisciplinary nature, encompassing a wide range of areas within contemporary architecture. He has developed projects for both public and private clients, as well as proposals related to the arts. He has participated in international platforms such as the Porto Academy workshop and exhibitions like LIGA 15 in Mexico City. He was a finalist for the international MCHAP Architecture Award (2014), granted by the IIT, with the Desert Interpretation Center project. Additionally, he served as the curator of the Chilean Pavilion at the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale.

His work has been exhibited in various cities including Chicago, Mexico City, Rome, Buenos Aires, and Porto, among others. In parallel, he has maintained an ongoing academic career, teaching at various universities throughout his professional life.
